A BELATED INQUEST.
AN IMPORTANT RIDER
Auckland, May 10
An inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the death of Mrs. Jeannio Prow sir, who was killed'by .a motor ear at Remueru on March Bth, was commenced yesterday, and was concluded to-day. A great deal of evidence was taken, and the jury returned a vardict that death was due to shock, following on injuries caused by the- impact with t.he motor car; that deceased met her death accidentally through a,n orror of judgment on the part of the driven. They added tho following; rider: The jury desire to call the attention of the Government to tho evidence of -John r.cvovifkrc Lindsay, the traffic inspector for Auckland, they being distinctly of the opinion that every person driving a motor car nn the public highway should be th-3 holder of a certificate! of competency.
