Auckland, May 10. A telegram sent to Mr. Massey by the Premier in regard to an alleged statement by Mr. Massey "that a Mackenzie could always bo bought," has been received by the Opposition Leader. "I sent a courteous telegram, to the Prime Minister asking for his authority for his statement," said Mr. Massey this evening, "in rapry.he. has sent me an offensive and insulting telegram. !t lias given the public a glimpse of the Prime Minister in his true colours, and I am satisfied to leave the mattGnr until we meet in Parliament."
