ROAD BOARDS.

WAIMEA WEST,

The monthly meeting of the .Waimea West Road Board was held on Tuesday. The following members were present, Messrs W. L. Palmer, I. W. Satherley/ F. Ford, G. Walker, and A. B. Hall. Mr W. L. Palmer was elected chairman for the ensuing year. The Chairman explained the result of the conference of Road Boards at the MbutoreV and he was appointed to attend the conference! of the local bodies at Nelson.

A memo was received from the cleric of the Waimea County Council stating that £2 10s had been contributed towards the cost of the filling at tho foot of tho Moutero hills.

A letter was received from the District Engineor asking to be shown over tho place whore the grant was applied for at Redwood's Valley.—Mr J. W. Satherley and the Overseer were appointed to meet the engineer on a date suitable to him.

It was decided to advertise for a no*v secretary and overseer, as the present one had resigned.

Accounts amounting to £34 16s ::d wore passed for payment.
