NELSON ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of the Nelson Cribbago Association was held in Stallard's room on Tuesday night, when the following delegates were present: Messrs. Campbell (in the chair). Lucre, btaliard, McDonald, Andrews, Kerr, Lipscombo, Krahagon and Batchelor. The following societies are paying in the- tournament: Old Navals, Nelson Anglers, No 1 Scottish Society, No 2 Scottish Society, Citizens, Port, Railway and Browers. i
The following gentlemen " offered trophies for competition: Messrs H. RDuncan, C. R. Hartey and G. Hogg. The following committee was elected for the season : Messrs Andrews, Hesseltine, Stallard, Lipscombe, Lucre and Payne.
The catering was left in-the hands of Mr. W. Brooker.
The trophies for the season were allotted as follows: Harford Shield, ; winners of both rounds; President's prizo, winwere of first round; vice^-president's prize, winners of second round; Mr. StaJlard's prize; highest aggregate in both rounds; Mr. H. R. Duncan's prize highest aggregate in first round ; Mr. G. Hogg's prize highest aggregate in second round; Mr. C. R. Harley'a prize, team winning by the greatest number of games in any ono night. A prize to the value of 10s 6d has boen offered to the holder of the highest hand during the tournament; also a prize of 10s 6d (trophy) to the team that came second in both rounds. A further allocation of trophies will be made at the noxt committee meeting.
