FIRE AT MORNINGTON.

[United Press Association.]

Dunedin, May 8. Two dwellings were destroyed by fire at Mornington early this morning. One was owned by Mr J. G. S. Johnson, and was valued at £550. The .house, was insured for £400, and the" contents for £140 in the Standard Office. The other house was owned and occupied by Mr. Peter Nelson. It was valued at £450 and insured for £350, and tho contents for £300 in the Standard Office. Nelson, in checking the fire with a liose, was badly burned on, the hands and head.
