WELSH COAL DEADLOCK.
LORD ST ALDWYN'S DECISION
London, May 8. Lord St Aldwyn's decision on the Conciliation Board created a scene.
The miners'.representatives declined to accept the advance of threepence, whereupon Lord StAldwyn threatened to resign.
The miners -retorted that that would bo acceptable. ■
It is understood that Lord St Aldwyn's intimation that the owners were not offering sufficient led to an advance of twopence.
Mr Hartshorn states, that no one receives any advance by Lord St Aldwyn's decision. If the Board had not been formed the intensity of the bitterness would not have achieved the object more successfully.
