LEGED
(Received March 31, 5.5 p.m.)
Athens, March 30
An election riot occurred at Awalikdere owing to the gendarmes attempting to prevent Liberals from voting. Twenty persons were killed, and fifty injured, the victims being chiefly Liberal Mussulmans.
The newspaper "Messager" of Athens, accuses Young Turks of gerrymandering at the elections with a view to excluding from the Ottoman Chamber all prominent Greeks and Liberal candidates of various nationalities.
