A woman inniwl Frances Wilson, win; was convicted on Wednesday on a charge of keeping ti disorderly house, was'fined, and <-*hp appeared, at tho Police Court again to-day, charged with being a rogue and a vagabond. Detective Marsa.dc stated that sine© tho previous cape a married man of some standing had complained to the po.ice of the accused, who attempted a. species of blackmail by holding over his heat]."some- letters niinnosed to pertain to some youthful indiscretion. By arrangement he kept an appointment with the woman, Detective McManon .accompanying him. They saw the woman accost a-u old gsntlnmati, and wa-s very aggressive to the man. Tho dptectivo interposed, the woman insisting that she had a right to speak to the old tfont'lemari as she had in her Docket letters Ik* had written to her._ The detective charged her with having blackmailed tho man for nearly eleven years. He arrested the woman, who wns und^r tho influence of liquor, on a charge of a broach of a prohibition order.
