TWO NAPIER CASES

Napier, March 27. Tho Arbitration Court sat hero to-day and heard a claim by the widow of Captain Holland against Richardson and Co.. owners of tho lighter Moa, for compensation for the death of her husband, who was drowned about midnight on 27th July whilst, it was alleged, attending to the mooring lines of th-i1 vessel. After taking evidence, the Court intimated that it would view the sito of the occurrence.

A claim was made by .7. il'lvtHzic (carpenter) against tho Guardian Insurance Company in respect of injuries occasioned to claimant by a fall from a ladder while working on a, building during his employment by A. \V. Apperlcy, builder. The claimant had received £67 10s and th o Court was asked to assess what further sum was payable; The Court awarded £105.
