Christchurch, March, 29. Superintendent Jflrck, of tho Cliristchurch I(lire Brigade,-.has resigned, and at a meeting of the Firo Board to-night it was dccidwl to accept his resignation. It is understood that differences of opinion between tho Hoard and Supeiintendent Erck led to tho last mentioned resigning. Superintendent Erck, i\ho came from Melbourne, has been in charge of the Cliristchurch brigades for tho past three years.
