A JOINT CONFERENCE

London, Jan 30. A joint conference of owners ■ and miners of the British coalfields will bo held on 7th February to discuss the minimum wage question.

The Scottish miners have tendorod six months' notice of the termination of the existing agreement, but mine owners contend that the insistence upon tho'minimum, wage is in itself a breach, of agreement. Tho Conciliation Board will discuss tho point on February 9th.
