Wellington, Jan. 8. Captain Watson, secretary of the Merchant Service Guild, has been served with a writ claiming a penalty of £200. . The plaintiff is tho Inspector of Awards, Mr Lc Cren, and tho writ sots out that during September and October, 1911, Captain Watson, instigated certain officers employed by certain persons, firms ami companies set out in an award of the Court of Arbitration re officers on small coastal steamers, to become parties to an unlawful strike, thereby committing an offence under seotio'n 6 (1) of the Arbitration Act. The case is .set down for. 30th. January,
