Sydney, Jan 8. The Railway Commissioner had an interview with the acting-Premier, Mr Boeby, with reference to the proposed eight hours day for railway-men, and other matters.

Mr Bceby subsequently stated that ho wished to, remove tho impression that there wore any strained relations between the Government and tho Commissioner. He reiterated that the Government had no desire to re-estab-lish the old political control of the railways.
