ROAD BOARD.
WAI.MEA WEST
The ordinary meeting of tho Waima West .Road Board was held on Tuesday, when the following members were present: Messrs W. L. Palmer (chairman), L. H. Palmer and F. Ford.'
On a letter from Messrs Snodgrass and Milher re thirds, it was resolved that tho secretary inform the writers that the Board had received no thirds,
Letters were received from Mr Turner ro new road at Redwood's Valley, also one from Mr Ledger, ro legalisation of the same. The overseer reported' that tho water-table near Mr Grace's property needed cleaning out, and in some places the ditcii required deepening, also that near the same place the culvet leading to private- property should be enlarged so that the water would not flow over the road; that the ruts in tho back road near H. Challies' property required filling, and that tho footbridge near , Mr W. O'Connor's property required attention. The day man was instructed to proceed witli the forming of the now road as the settlers had cleared the gorse and rubbish off tho lino of formation. The secretary reported that no offiehl information had been received from the Public Works Department ro tho grant for bridge- tit Redwood's vjllev.
