Yesterday a deputation of officials eif the Carnival of Flowers waited upon the proprietors of both newspapers and represented that tho cvcninc; attendance at Trafalgar Park on Thursday ne>xt wanlel bo seriously affected if the newspapers offices showed the second ballot election returns by lime'.iffht a* usual. In order not to prejudice- the effort in aid of a worthy object, for which groat preparations have been made, the newspaper proprietors have agreed not to show results by limelight, on the deputation undertaking that they will be shown in the same fashion at Trafalgar Park. The newspapers will en-operate to furnish the returns to tho Park hy telephone message, a special telephone being placed at the Park, and the public(should bo as well nor red ;>s previously in tho way «f getting prompt information. At this «ffice results as received will bo posted by placard outside tlii building.
