A RUMOUR DENIED.

At election time all sorts of rumours get abroad, and tho latest is that Mr. Durbridge's failure to nominate was by arrangement with the Hon. R. McKenzie. By advertisement in another column Mr. Durbridgo gives this statement tin e|nphatic denial, and expresses regret that his nomination which was posted by registered letter from Coilingwood was not in tho hands of tho Returning Officer before the appointed time. Mr Durbridgo thanks the electors who had promised him their support and intimates that he will contest the seat against all comers at the next election.
