Westport, Nov 30. The Hon R. McKenzie held a meeting at Hector on Wednesday evening, about 150_ persons being present. Mr John Milligan occupying the chair. The Minister had a cordial reception, I and spoke at considorabla length on the political questions, concluding amidst applause. A vote of thanks (Continued on Fourth Pag«.)
] and confidence was proposed by Mr i Kelly and seconded by Mr I'cnno. i'Ayainst this an amendment of thanks i only was proposed by Sic Alexander ! and seconded by Mr Daiuassi. ' Tho i amendment was negatived and tne ! vote of confidence carried with ap- ! plause.
The Hon. R. McKenzie will address the electors at the Ngntimoti school this evening at eight o'clock. Mr. McKenzie is returning overland from the West Coast, and will probably address the electors at Rivaled tomorrow evening, at Motueka on Monday evening, and at Brooklyn on .Tuesday evening. ;
