A deputation waited on Mr Watt, State Treasurer, and Mr Graham, State Minister of Agriculture, applying for a subsidy for the proposed Australian Steam Ship Company to trade between England and Australia. The Ministers asked for full details in writing and promised sympathetic consideration.

A conference of Liberal organisations throughout the Commonwealth has opened. A resolution was Carried affirming the desirableness of the Liberals working together in matters of Federal concern.
The Federal Government takes no action in the present session in the direction of establishing reciprocal trade with other Dominions. Details for negotiations at a later stage are being formulated.
A boy named William Thomas, aged 15J years, has been sentenced to death for an assault on a young girl.

Sydney, Nov lss. In the Assembly the Government introduced a Bill to ear mark profits from State business undertakings. The proposal to abolish tied public houses was further debated.
Perth, KTov 29. The Assembly passed a Bill- establishing a second .State hotel at Dwellinfiup. The English cricketers have left for Queensland.
