NAPIER WOOL SALES.

[United Press Association.]

Napier, Nov. 29. Tho first season's wool sales in Napior were held yesterday, There was a large and representative gathering from America, which operated for wool suitable to that country. Amoug Bradford men several new faces were to be noticed, and the Continent was represented by four French buyers, and ono from Germany. The sales opened with a good swing and bidding continued animated throughout all the catalogues. The result was that very few lots were passed in sales being in this respect tho most notable that have been held for some yoars past. Contrary to epoctations the prices realised did not show any material drop. Prime wools wero only from £d to Id lower than last year, while coarse ciossbrcds showed practically no change. The wool offered yesterday was in better condition, and better grown than last year's clip, and would probably have fetched higher prices had tho state of tho market been equally favourable There was an exceptionally good demand for pieces and bellies, and on tho whole growers have- every reason to bo satisfied with the financial results of tie season's shearing. The range of prices was as follows: Halfbred, light condition brought up to lO^d, half-bred medium condition up to 9jd; fine crossbred, light and bright up to lOd, medium up to 9|d, coarse up to B|d, coarso and inferior up to 7i<l; pieces and bellies from ojd to Od; lambs wool up to BJd.

Messrs, E. Buxton and Co. Ltd. ndvi«so having received the following ruble from, thcif € '^J«-- »b»-^--Messrs Sanderson,.Murray and Co. with reference to the.
