Wellington, Nor. 29. The Prime Minister left Danncvirko this morning for Wellington. Ho called at Shannon during tho afternoon and opened the new Post Oince there. In the course of a speech Sir Joseph Ward said: "Wo are dovotmtf our attention to the hrgo land ov>u_ ers. placing a supertax on holdings oi over £40,000 value, and I would nov be at nil surprised if wo increased that tax so as to obtain land ior the people." After opening tho Carnegie library at Levin Sir Joseph, and party came "on to Wellington, arming ni 6.20 p.m. The Prime- Minister had been very cordially rccvivod at tin: stopping places during the day. On his arrival at Wellington the party was welcomed by a gathering of over 200 people. In an address to the assemblage Sir Joseph f;!?.1«1 that throughout the North T.sland their had been manifested enthusiasm, and cordiality that had never in his time been excelled.
