In 1903 the Opposition gnatphed victories in Tarnnaki and other farming districts ajong the west coast of the North Island, the result admittedly being due to the careful fomentation of trouble over the alleged dairy regulations. A bonus of 4d. per lb., it is announced, will be paid on tlio production of the first 100,0001bs. of good marketable retorted quicksilver, free from impurities,' from any mine iti New Zealand, on condition that at least one-third of the quantity is produced on or before March 31, 1911, and the remaining two-thirds on or before March 31, 19J2.
