In the tennis cita'tipioivsliip 'between Brookes and il.\iih eliei'e was no lack of resolute hitting in' Heath's attack, but there was no gainsaying, however, the acumen mid unerring anticipation of Brookes, who included five love games while annexing three straight out sets. Brooks has chosen himself, Heath, Dunlop and Lycett to represent Australasia in the Davis Cup contest. Brookes and Heath leave Sydney on Wednesday on tho Maheno, Dunlop following later. In the singles championship of Au:> tralasia Brookes defeated Rica 6—l, 6—-2, 6—3. The champion's ground atack was anticipation and volleying well. His shots were extremely skilful. His opponent never once got a lead. In tho doubles championship Heath and Lycett beat Brookes and Addisou 6—2, 7—5, 6—o.
