Dunedin, Nov. 21

Mr. J. F. Arnold, retiring member for Dunedin Central, addressed tl;e electors at Mornington to-night, and received a good hearing. He pledged himself to support the present Government as against the party led by Mr. Massey. On the licensing question he announced himse'f as a supporter of tlie bare majority as a democratic principle. Mr. Arnold wan accorded a vote of thanks and confidence. Mr. D. MacPherson. the Labour candidate for Dunedin Central, addressed a meeting to-night. He supported the bare majority on the licensing question. Mr. MaePhersou received .1 vote of thanks.
