Sir Joseph'AVard--arrived from the south this morning, and after spending three hours disposing of departmental work, left by the Main Trunk express for Taumarunui. To-morrow, morning he is to open the new bridge at Taumarunui, and in the afternoon ho is to turn tho first sod of tho branch railway from To Horo to AVhangamoamona and Stratford. In the evening he will deliver an address at Taumarunui, after which he will be entertained at a banquet by tho residents. He leaves immediately afterwards by train for Pukehohe. On Thursday morning ho will be at Pukohohe, and in the afternoon will proceed to Patumahoi and AVaiuku, and will speak at the latter place on Thursday evening. Friday and Saturday will be spent in the Auckland district. On Sunday Sir Joseph leaves Onehunga by the Rarawa for New Plymouth. On Monday afternoon lie will deliver a short address at Nornianby, and will speak at Hawera in tlie evening. In the afternoon he is to lay the founditinn stone of the new District High School at Stratford, and is also lto speak at Inglewood. The Prime Minister returns to AVellington probably on AVednesday Mr AY. F. Massey, Leader of the Opposition, arrives from the South to-morrow, and leaves by the Main Trunk for Palmerston North, at which town.-he will deliver an address to-morrow evening.
