A "TRADE" MEETING INTERRUPTED.

[United Press Association.]

* Wanganui, Nov. 21

A meeting marked by some peculiar incidents was held at Aramoho last night when Mr. AY. J. MncGuiro addressed a crowded audience in support of the licensed victuallers. ThiMueeting was largely hostile, and the interruptions almost overpowered Ihe speaker. When the audience appeared to be getting out of hand, the Rev G. Tregear, the No-license advocate, whom Mr. MocGuirc had attacked, appealed for a fair hearing. Later on Mr. MacGuire thanked him, and finally, on the verge of collapse, and on Mr. Tregear's advice, closed the meeting. Mr. Tregear then replied for a few minutes, and addressed a large crowd outside.
