A London cable announces the death of Mr W. T. Jones, at one time a well known Australian race horse owner.
A HJonheim Press Association telegram states that an old colonist expired suddenly last evening in the person of Mr David Girdwood, commission agent, aged 7!) years. He arrived in New Zealand in ISGO, and established a business at Dunedin. Subsequently ho became a leading importer at Gre.vmouth, whence he came to Blenheim over twenty years ago.
