PALTRY STRIKE AT NAPIER.

Napier, Nov. 13. A strike on a small scale occurred at the Glasgow wharf in connection with the arrival of the Huddart-Park-er steamer Victoria from Wellington and its departure for Auckland at a late hour. The Victoria came alongside at 5 p.m. and the wharf labourers wero told to go to their tea and return at six. When they returned diey found that the ship's crew had been working during the intervening hour and they turned round and walked away, giving no reason. The matter wjs referred to the secretary of the union, who stated that the men refused to work because the crew of tho steamer had been working during tea hour.
