A FELINE HYBRID.
A person of my acquaintance (says a Reuters correspondent in Crete) some months ago lost bis cat, a female. Walking in the country the other day ho came across a hare, accompanied by his cat, who was carrying in her mouth a little kittenleveret,, which she mid at his feet. He took it home with him. The animal has tho head and paWs~6f a oat but all the rest of the body is bare, not only in form, but in the quality and colour of the fur. The mixture of the father and mother in its walk and leaps is most remarkable. In its capacity of hare, it prefers the garden to indoor life, but its cat nature brings it regularly to the diningroom at meal time, when it expresses by ,i soft purring its pleasure at being fed and caressed.
