"WAR IN SIXTY DAYS."
FRENCH GENERAL'S STATEMENT.
According to a story in circulation in Paris on September 18, war, involving France, Germany, and England, will bo declared within less than two months.
The informant, whoso good faith cannot be questioned, says that the editor of tho most influential morning daily newspaper lunched with a general of tho French army and a member of tho Cabinet at a cafe, where they believed themselves to be unknown.
The general, who was not in uniform, was talking earnestly with the editor and the Minister, and he was heard to remark in a low voice: "There will be war in less than sixty days."
