North Canterbury is experiencin; mixed and unwelcome weather. Ye.l--tcrday was bright and sunny; but : south-west gale sprung up last even ing, with frequent showers. Toward.' morning the temperature fell,_ am some snow fell in the city, with : heavy trail of sleet. There lias bee a heavy fall of snow inland, and whe; the clouds lifted this morning th< foothills were seen to be smothered Tho farmers in town to-day expres: a fear that the change from yester day has been disastrous to lambs.
