John Bowron, examined in the Bank, ruptcy Court, said that tho failure of his firm was due to the loss of £100,----444 owing to a rise in raw materials in the autumn of 1907. The balancesheet of 1900 showed a deficit of £50,----000. By 1909 tho deficiency was £125,----000. Bowron Bros., of New Zealand, forgave debts to the extent of £78,----000 between 1905 and 1907;
