Dr Mawson's expedition ship, the "Aurora," sailed at midnight. ' She calls at Shcerness to adjust her compass, and will coal at Cardiff. The dogs wore safely shipped. Lieutenant Mainncs, tiie assistant surveyor, and Dr Mortis, the geologist, wore the only members of the party sailing by the Aurora. Tho officers and crew number 25.

Lieutenant- Walkin Bickerton will sail by the China with the aeroplane, which was severely tested at Brookhinds. Tho tests were highly satisfactory.
