Mr Murray, Premier of Victoria, at a farewell banquet, declared that it was not English to judge Mr Fisher's Imperial views by the reported interview. He should be judged by his public utterances. Lord Desborough, in proposing the Empire, said that no great Imperial question of the future would be settled without consulting tho overseas Dominions.
