THE QUEENSLAND STRIKE.

Brisbane, July 27. A serious riot occurred at Childers, where 150 sugar strikers attacked 40 free labourers in a factory, smashing windows and damaging machinery. Several persons wore injured. The Magistrate was sent for to read the Riot Act, but the disturbance was quelled. Extended idleness hat caused business to come to a standstill.
