ADDINGTON LIVE STOCK MARKET.

[United Press Association.]

Christchuroh, July 26. At the Addington live stock market there were very small entries of stock in consequence of the wet weather, and the interruption of railway traffic on the northern lino, in consequence of the short supplies of fat stock there was a sharp rise in prices. The entry of fat sheep was also n very small one, and consequently prices advanced several shillings per [ head. The principal .supplies of sheep ami lamb have been coming of lato from tlie northern district, and this source was cut off by thp interruption of railway traffic. The competition of butchers to fill their requirements was naturally keen, and accounted for such a marked rise in prices. The yarding of fat cattle totalled 177, or little more than half an averago entry. The greater part of tho yarding was of medium quality, but; tho balance consisted of very prime I cattle.
