WAREHOUSE ROBBERIES.

Wellington, July 25. Cases (if robbery from.a warehouse came before Mr. AY. G. iliddell, S.M. tliis morning, when Allan Lee was charged with having stolen goods to the value of £143 6s 6d, the property of W. G. Tumbull and Co. Ernest Charles Gregory was charged with the theft of goods valued at £5 ss, the property of A. S. Paterson' and Co, Bertie Smith was charged with having received goods, knowing them to have been dishonestly obtained, valued at £143 6s .6(1 the property of W and G. Turnbu'i and Co. Tho first charge against Lee was also preferred against Alfred Smith, who was charged with receiving tho articles mentioned. Lee was head storeman.in W. and G. Turnbull's bonded warehouse, and Gregory was under storeman for Paterson and Co. Bertie Smith kept a grocery s)iop in Russell Terrace, and Alfred Smith, his brother, was an expressman. Gregory and the brothers Smith peacl«l guilty, and were committed to tho Supreme Court for sentence. Bajl was allowed subject to accused reporting to the police every morning and evening. Allan Xee pleaded not gui'ty, and was defended by Mr. C. M. 't)ix. Itlvidaive was heard and accused reserved I is defence, mid was committed to the Supreme Court for trial, bail being r'sed at £200.
