Blenheim, July 25.

What promises to bo the biggest flood experienced at Blenheim for many years is now pouring into the town.

Many shops are inundated, and some houses are flooded to a depth of several feet. 'jfhe Water has come both through and, over, the protective works ; and is rapidly rising.. The offices of Levin and Co. and the Union S..S. Co., on the banks of the Omaka river, are in danger of collapse as the water is eating the concrete protective wall.

Two trains are stuck up between Blenheim and Picton, and one between Seddon and Ward.
