WHOLESALE THIEVING.

AN AUCKLAND SENSATION

[United Press Association.]

Auckland, July 11. Startling disclosures have been made concerning wholesale thefts p.f goods landed from various Btcamers, most of the large shipping companies and several firms being affected. Cases of tobacco, cigars, cigarettes, and other goods have mysteriously disappeared, the value amounting to £500 or £600. Reports are current that arrests have already brpn made; but these prove premature. The police are exceedingly reticent; but somewhat sensational developments are expected.
