Motueka, July 11. The Hon R. Mckenzie arrived today and has had a busy time with deputations. Residents from Sandy Bay asked for £3000 for a new road, and a telephone service.

Tasman settlers asked for better postal facilities.

Owing to the growth of the district tho Motueka School Committee asked for a grant for a new primary school, and a grant for enlarging the playground.

The Minister promised to use his influence in favour of all the requests.
