Wellington, July 10. Messrs George Thomas and Co, Wellington, report a strong demand for Nelson dessert and cooking apples. The egg market is dull and stocks are heavy.
_ To-day's quotations are: Epp's Seedlings 5s to 5s Gd; Stunners 6s 6d to 8s 9d; Washington* 6s to 7s 6d; Red Dessert 7s to 9s; Golden Russets 8s to 10s.
Hothouse tomatoes (3d to 8d ; swedoa 2s; potatoes ss; onions 9s 6d; Gunny ■Island oranges 6s; New Zealand lem"ons 9s (id ; cooking pears 6s to 7s ; cabbagos 7s to 9s; pie melons 7s; pumpkins 7s 6d.
Violets Is 6d dozen bunches; jon quils Is per dozen blooms. Walnuts 6d to 7d.
Eggs Is 2d; fowls 3s to 4s,
