APPEAL DISALLOWED

The Auckland Railway Appeal Bouk. lias disallowed the appeal of Guard A. f. Campbell against dismissal for misconduct arising out of a dispute with the station master at Te Kuiti.
The Board wished it to be distinctly understood that the appeal was d:.-nii-'sed solely on the ground of tl: lfctssity of upholding the regulation They cast no reflection on the ;ij>,'! cant's ability to discharge his dul^ ar on his character.
During the case objection was i •■:'■ < to a Departmental officer puttiii,.' . a record of fines against the appelL. on the ground that the record on showed what was against the m.ti and not his good conduct as well. T!. Court upheld the objection.
