MISS CRIMLEY'S MISSION.
Last niglit .hi the 1 Baptist Chinch, after the service, Miss Grimiey gave a gospel temperance address. The Rev. Mr. Lambert, in introducing the lady, said he had lived at Ashburton, and had seen tho blessings accruing from no license. He hoped the day was not far distant when the whole of New Zealand would enjoy the same blessings. Miss Grimiey gave some straight talk regarding the responsibility of Christians in assisting to purify tho national life, and making the homes of the people brighter and happier. She impressively urged that" Christ died for those who were sinking into intemperance and despair, and they were somebody's sons and daughters. She gave some beautiful definitions of "home," and pointed to how strong drink was mischievously active in destroying homos.
Miss Grimie.y will speak at the mon.tJiiy mooting of the, Women's Christian Temperance Union, at the Diocesan Library at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Other meetings will bo advertised during the week.
