At a Unitarian service last night a resolution was carried unanimously in protest against the execution of Kaka. The minister, tho Rev. J. G. Chappie, said capital punishment was no deterrent and in this case allowance should have been made for inherited tendencies, the accused being a member of a race which had lately been savage. The mover of .the resolution dwelt on the latter point, and said the execution was mnrt. horrible than the murder.
