MURCHISON.
SEVEN-A-SIDE TOURNAMENT.

, On Saturday last the seven-a-side football tournament was played About eight teams had been entered, but at the.last only five put in an appearance, three Murchison teams and two Braeburn teams. The first two teams to meet were the Braeburn B team and the Murchison B team. Murchison kicked off and play was carried into Murcmson ground. Braeburn getting dangerously near the Murchison hno when Lynch marked and reT * Braelnmi continued to press when Murchison were penalised near their own lino, but Braeburn's attempt at a penalty goal failed. Soon after changing sides Murchison pushed p.ay into Braeburn territory, where it hovered for a while. Braeburn, however, soon took play back to Murchison end where Murchison were obliged to force. Murchison again carried the game into their opponents' quarters and Braobum wore obliged to force. Soon after in another Murchison rush C. Newman obtained possession of tlm ball and succeeded in crossing the Braeburn line. O'Brien converted with a fine goal, and the game ended Murchison B 5, Braeburn B 0. Mr Morriss rofereed.
The next game was Murchison A team v. Murchison C team. This game was very uninteresting, as the C. team, a very weak one, was outclassed in every way. The A team just ran through the C team whenever they liked, and when they had scored a few tries they settled dowfi and took things easy. Tho C team was beaten by over 30 points, and the score would nrobabl.v have been double that had the A team exerted themselves. Mr H. Fauchelle acted as referee in this game.
The next game Braeburn A v Murcliison B was more interesting, but from the outset it was apparent that
