Upon the willingness of the Mexican Government to allow the insurrectos to namo three members of the Cabinet and Governors of 14 of tho 27 States depends the pence issue. General Madero expects to become President. A widow named Talamantos, whose husband and two sons woro shot as rebels, entered tho. insurgents' ranks with an organised band of Indians, all of thonii from the neighbourhood whore Colonel Chiapas' forces were operating, and captured Chiapas after a desperate, ride. Chiapas was wounded. The widow ordered Chiapas' execution, which was promptly carried out by an Indian firing party.
Chiapas' orders had condemned Senora Talamantes' husband and two sons to death.
