CENTRAL BOARD'S REPORT.

(Received May 17, 9.30 p.m.) London, May 17. The annual report of the Central Emigration Board states that 136 persons were settled in Australia in 1910, but only one in New Zealand, where the Board is unable to arrange for placing emigrants. Consequently the Board is not encouraging applicants unless they are farmers, or have friends to receive them. Subscriptions and donations amounted' to £270, while office and management expenses were £465.
