MACDONALD TO REMAIN IN CUSTODY.

Wellington, May 16,
Sir Robert Stout and Mr. Justice Chapman, this morning, gave an oral judgment on one aspect of the writ of attachment in connection with the case R/Ose v. T. Kennedy Macdonald, as to whether the writ could be stayed without being discharged, The Court held that it could not, and ordered that the defendant must remain in custody as at present until Friday at 2 p.m., when tho matter will be discussed on a motion for the discharge of the defendant owing to ill health.
