In the second spell against the sun Federal played no goal-keeper, the winners putting on one more goal. Wai Mai had betov combination than Federal The game was much more even than the score indicates, and there was fast interesting play all through. There were a number of stoppages owing to minor injuries, and Webley (Federal) had to leave the field in the second spell. Towards the end Federal looked like scoring once or twice, but failed to get through. Messrs Floyd and F. Ryder controlled the game. On No 1 ground Wakatu and Nelson tried conclusions in the ladies' senior class, Wakatu winning easily by 8 to 1. The play was for the most part slow and uninteresting, and very much below the mark. It was expected that Nelson would extend the older club, but they made a very disappointing display. Misses Parsonage, Neale, Whitwel!, Harris, and Saundors scored for Wakatu. Mr. W. Savage referoed. As in the other game there were a number of minor casualties, and the total for the two games was.much above the average. The long grass at th? northern end of both grounds (particularly No 1) hampered play in those quarters considerably. The attendance was disappointing.
