The troops were not hidden as formerly. Instead they" patrolled the streets, and strong detachments in the streets overawed 100,000 workmen who were holiday making. A number of minor disturbances occurred, 81 arrests being made. Thirteen policemen, 25 soldiers, and 80 civilians were injured.
