London, April 30. At billiards Stevenson, making 18,000, defeated Inman, 16,914, retaining the billiards control championship.
Gray, writing to "Sporting Life," repudiates former challenges purported to bo made on his behalf, and adds that he is now free to challenge Stevenson and Inman for 16,000 level and £250 aside, the winner to take twothirds of the gate.
